About the Role
We are looking for a Database Analyst – SQL Focus (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on database analysis, SQL development, data modeling, query optimization, and business intelligence workflows.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to SQL queries, database structures, data quality, reporting systems, ETL processes, and performance optimization, helping improve how AI models understand and solve real-world data management challenges.
Your expertise will contribute to improving AI systems used for database intelligence, analytics, data engineering, reporting automation, and enterprise data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated SQL and database-related outputs
- Review peer-developed deliverables to improve AI research quality and consistency
- Assess AI outputs for query accuracy, database efficiency, scalability, data integrity, and analytical relevance
- Identify inefficient queries, schema design issues, indexing problems, data inconsistencies, or reporting gaps in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Support workflows involving database analysis, SQL development, ETL pipelines, reporting systems, data warehousing, and business intelligence
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on database management and intelligent data workflows
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience with database platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, joins, stored procedures, views, and query optimization
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, data quality management, or business intelligence workflows
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and analytics tools is preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Python, or cloud-based database technologies is a plus
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
