Database Administrator with AWS

Work hours are 12.00 pm-9.30 pm IST

Hybrid role: work from office is required 2-3 days per week

For one of our clients in the Insurance segment, we are searching for a Database Administrator.

Responsibilities:

• migration related activities
• managing critical operations, such as backup strategies (relating to AWS Cloud, not just on-premise environments)
• Monitor and do the housekeeping for app servers
• Manage resource of system
• Support any deployment
• documentation
• Support patching processes
• Monitoring / performance analysis / Trouble shooting / Support in any application issues that has DB impact, etc.

Mandatory Skills Description:

Cloud & AWS:

• AWS RDS (MySQL) - Must Have
• AWS CloudWatch - Must Have
• AWS Redshift - Must Have (or similar)

Performance Optimization:

• Query pattern analysis - Must Have
• Schema design optimization - Must Have
• Indexing strategies - Must Have
• Resolution of performance bottlenecks - Must Have

Monitoring & Alerting Tools:

• AWS CloudWatch - Must Have
• Database Performance Monitoring solutions - Must Have
• SQL Sentry, xMatters, SolarWinds - Acceptable with similar

Database Platforms:

• Amazon RDS (MySQL) - Must Have
• Microsoft SQL Server (Physical/VM) - Acceptable with similar
• Azure SQL Database (PaaS/Serverless) - Acceptable with similar
• Amazon Redshift - Acceptable with similar

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

ETL & Data Pipeline Development:

• Data pipeline development
• ETL tools

Other Nice to Have:
