We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in managing and optimizing databases in both cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have hands on expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms like Azure, with a solid track record of managing high-availability, secure, and scalable data environments.
Role & Responsibility:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Install and upgrade PostgreSQL, MYSQL, databases in public/private cloud and on- premises environments.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and errors.
- Apply patches and keep databases updated and secure.
- Implementing and managing security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting for database health and performance.
- Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Automate recurring database tasks to improve efficiency.
- Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss.
- Monitoring database performance and identifying potential issues.
- Working with other IT professionals to ensure seamless database operations.
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to database systems.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with MySQL
- Good experience with PostgreSQL
- Good experience with Linux
- Good to have knowledge of Tomcat & Apache
- Experience in handling DB on Microsoft Azure cloud will be preferred.
- Expertise in replication, clustering, and partitioning
- Strong command over SQL query tuning, code review, and schema design
- Experience in managing cloud and on-premises database infrastructure
- Proficient in backup & recovery, security, and performance tuning
- Hands-on knowledge of monitoring & alerting tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
