We are looking for an Intermediate Database Administrator to join a growing product-based tech team. The ideal candidate will support our database environments, ensure system reliability, and work closely with developers to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain database systems in production.
- Monitor performance and optimize queries, indexes, and overall database efficiency.
- Implement strong backup, restore, and recovery processes.
- Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Automate routine tasks using Python/Bash scripting.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for deployments.
- Maintain documentation for configurations and best practices.
Required Skills
- 25 years of DBA experience.
- Hands-on with at least two: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch.
- Strong SQL and/or database-specific query experience.
- Scripting knowledge (Python/Bash).
- Understanding of HA/DR concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications in PostgreSQL / MongoDB / MySQL.
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP database services.
- Exposure to 247 production environments and CI/CD pipelines.
