Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server 2022 environments both on-premises and in Azure.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backup/recovery, security, schema management, and Azure IaaS/PaaS SQL databases.
You will be responsible for ensuring database availability, security, and performance while supporting development and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer SQL Server 2022 databases.
- Perform database backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Handle import and export of data from various file formats (CSV, XLSX, TXT, etc.
- Implement and manage database security, logins, and user permissions.
- Configure and manage different database recovery models.
- Design and maintain schema-based management for efficient database organization.
- Manage and maintain Azure IaaS/PaaS SQL Databases.
- Perform BACPAC export/import operations for database migration and archiving.
- Conduct backup and restoration of Azure PaaS databases.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Collaborate with development teams to support database design, queries, and performance Skills & Experience :
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA (including SQL Server 2022).
- Strong knowledge of database backup/recovery processes.
- Experience with data import/export from CSV, XLSX, TXT, and other formats.
- Proficiency in SQL Server security management (logins, roles, permissions).
- Hands-on experience with database recovery models and schema-based management.
- Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database (IaaS & PaaS) administration.
- Experience in BACPAC operations and Azure PaaS backup/restoration.
- Proficient in T-SQL scripting and automation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
