Job Profile: Database Administrator (L3)

Location: Noida

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (L3) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MySQL database administration, performance tuning, high availability architectures, backup and recovery strategies, and database migrations. The role requires ensuring database performance, availability, security, and data integrity across production environments.

Responsibilities:

·      Administer, monitor, and maintain production MySQL database environments.

·      Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of databases.

·      Perform database performance analysis, SQL tuning, and query optimization.

·      Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

·      Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance and availability issues.

·      Configure and maintain replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.

·      Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

·      Automate routine database administration tasks and monitoring processes.

·      Monitor database health, capacity, and resource utilization.

·      Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support business-critical systems.

·      Implement database security best practices, user access controls, and compliance requirements.

·      Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.

Must Have skills

·      Strong experience in MySQL Database Administration.

·      Expertise in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.

·      Experience with High Availability (HA), Replication, and Failover configurations.

·      Hands-on experience in Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery Planning.

·      Knowledge of database monitoring and automation tools.

·      Experience in troubleshooting complex database issues in production environments.

·      Understanding of database security, user management, and access controls.

·      Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.

Preferred Qualification

·      Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.

·      Knowledge of scripting for automation (Shell, Python, etc.).

·      Experience with cloud-based database platforms is an advantage
