We're Hiring: SQL Server DBA (6+ Years Experience) | Chennai | Work From Office
We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team in Chennai (WFO). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing enterprise-grade SQL Server environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security across development and production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage SQL Server databases across development, testing, and mission-critical production environments
- Configure and maintain database servers, processes, and security controls
- Monitor system health, performance, and alerts to ensure high availability
- Perform daily backup monitoring, restores, and recovery operations
- Execute performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
- Apply data modeling techniques to support integration and performance requirements
- Independently analyze and resolve issues end-to-end in real time
- Automate recurring processes, track issues, and maintain documentation
- Support developers with complex query tuning and schema improvements
- Provide 247 support for critical systems and perform after-hours maintenance
- Share technical expertise and mentor team members
Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on MS SQL Server Administration experience
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning & optimization (PTO) using native tools
- Expertise in backup, restore, and recovery models
- Experience working with Windows Server, including Active Directory
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to fast-changing environments
- Certifications such as MCTS, MCITP, or MVP are a plus
