Job Description
- As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Hands on experience or certification in Oracle Database Cloud Services skills is mandatory.
- Experience in Oracle Database 11g/12c/18c/19c/21c and Grid Infrastructure
- Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
- Define a reliable backup strategy and configure database backups for error free executions followed by periodic restorations
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- Build Disaster Recovery environment for database, drive and support DR drills
- Support and collaborate with product developers and support them in writing high performing / optimized PLSQL codes
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA)
- 7+ years of experience in administering databases, RAC and database systems
- Lead prototyping architecture and implementation
- Configuration and managing life cycle management of Oracle Databases in cloud includes DBaaS , ExaCC , ExaCS and Autonomous Databases
- OCI Certified Architect professional and/or one Oracle Database Specialty level certification
- Strong automation/infrastructure background with exposure to the majority of services in OCI
- Strong understanding of OCI architectures across containerization microservices and serverless in OCI
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
