Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems.
  • Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve performance.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
  • Develop backup and recovery strategies and perform regular backups.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide support to users.
  • Implement database access controls and security measures.
  • Collaborate with application developers to optimize database queries.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7-9 years of experience in database administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery processes.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud database solutions like AWS RDS or Azure SQL.
  • Ability to write scripts in languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
