We are seeking a skilled
Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our Microsoft SQL Server and Data Services environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years experience. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring database reliability, security, and performance while proactively recommending improvements and emerging technologies to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Maintain and monitor backup strategies for SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Continuously monitor SQL environments for performance, capacity, and security issues; implement tuning and optimization as needed.
- Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and advancements that can enhance database performance and align with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to security standards and maintain accurate documentation of database configurations and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Database Administration, Database Architecture
- Proven experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.
- Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting.
- Familiarity with high-availability solutions (e.g., Always On, clustering).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cloud-based SQL solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
- Experience with automation tools and PowerShell scripting.
