A senior-level Database Administrator
DBA responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical database systems. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle database technologies (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c) with both RAC and single-instance configurations, as well as experience supporting SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS, and will have a proven track record of optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability, and maintaining data security.
Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Database Administrator with a focus on Oracle.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle database technologies (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 19c), including RAC and single-instance configurations.
Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications or Job Experience in the following areas is a bonus
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
AWS Certified Security Specialty
Oracle Golden Gate 12c Training from Oracle University
Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Exadata X3 and X4 Administrator
Mongo Database Administrator, MongoDB University
Oracle RAC 12c Oracle University
Oracle 10g: OCP Oracle Certified Professional
- Experience with Exadata administration.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Experience with SAP Hana.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Requirements
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 19c) in both RAC and single-instance environments.
Administer SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
Implement and maintain database security measures.
Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement performance tuning strategies to optimize database performance and resource utilization.
Conduct proactive performance analysis and capacity planning.
Design, implement, and manage database deployments on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Utilize cloud-native services for database management and automation.
Ensure security and compliance in cloud environments.
Develop and maintain scripts for database automation and monitoring.
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for database deployments.
Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure database integrity and availability.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours.
