Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Database Administrator role based in Bhopal. The Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining databases that support government and banking applications. Daily tasks include monitoring database performance, managing backups and recovery, applying patches and upgrades, and ensuring high availability and data integrity. The role involves designing and optimizing database structures, managing user access and security, and implementing replication and other resilience strategies. The Database Administrator will also troubleshoot database-related issues, collaborate with development and infrastructure teams, support deployment activities, and document database configurations, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Database Administration and hands-on experience managing production Databases.
- Proficiency in Database Design, including schema modeling, indexing strategies, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Troubleshooting database issues, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of Replication, backup, and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and resilience.
- Familiarity with one or more major RDBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and related tools.
- Understanding of database security, access control, and compliance best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Bhopal, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in government or banking/FinTech environments and knowledge of high-transaction systems is an advantage.
