Job Description

Project Role : Database Administrator

Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Must have skills : Database Management, MySQL, MySQL Database Administration

Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education

Summary:

As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing database management systems and developing efficient procedures to ensure smooth daily operations. The position requires continuous monitoring and problem-solving to maintain database integrity and performance, while adapting to evolving technical requirements and collaborating with various teams to support business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
  • Responsible for team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices in database management to ensure data security and availability.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with organizational goals.
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Database Management, MySQL, MySQL Database Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, backup and recovery techniques, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in managing large-scale database environments and ensuring high availability.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with database security protocols and compliance standards.
  • Skilled in automating routine database tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in Database Management.
  • This position is based at our DDC5E - SEZ location.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
