Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Visualization Expert with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in developing digital solutions using data visualization tools like Tableau and Alteryx. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, storytelling through data, and the technical skills to bring insights to life. The candidate must also possess a foundational understanding of databases, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and have a working knowledge of other tools such as Qlik, Power BI, and Python. Familiarity with IQVIA datasets (e.g., TRx, NBRx, LAAD) in the life sciences or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Alteryx, and other BI tools.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and visual stories that support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, present insights, and ensure data transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Work with relational databases to extract and manipulate data for analysis and reporting.
- Optimize and automate reporting processes to enhance business efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Use Qlik, Power BI, and Python as needed to deliver robust, scalable visualization solutions.
- Apply knowledge of IQVIA healthcare datasets (e.g., TRx, NBRx, LAAD) to design meaningful visualizations for life sciences applications.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve digital and data processes through innovation and automation.
- Document processes, maintain code repositories, and ensure adherence to data governance and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data visualization and BI development.
- Proven expertise in Tableau and Alteryx; strong portfolio of past work preferred.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Qlik and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Python for data preparation, automation, or API integration.
- Experience working with IQVIA datasets (TRx, NBRx, LAAD) is a strong plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, usability, and performance.
- Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) is a plus.
- Certification in Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
