We are looking for an experienced Sr. Engineer ( Data Specialist) with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Power BI, Data Analytics, Cloud, GitHub Actions (GHA) and Developer Portal / DevOps platforms such as Harness or Backstage.
Experience - 6+ years
Location - Pune
The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills and experience building automation, developer platforms, CI/CD workflows, APIs and scalable cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications, automation scripts, APIs and data-driven solutions.
- Design and enhance developer portal capabilities using Backstage and/or Harness to improve developer experience and engineering workflows.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions (GHA), Harness or similar DevOps platforms.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, data models and visualizations.
- Work on data extraction, transformation, processing and visualization across multiple sources.
- Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications and workloads on Azure/AWS/GCP, with Azure AKS/Kubernetes experience preferred.
- Integrate APIs, cloud services, applications and developer tools into scalable engineering solutions.
- Drive automation, reliability, performance and standardization across development and deployment processes.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on Python development and coding.
- Strong experience with Power BI and Data Analytics.
- Experience with GitHub Actions (GHA) and CI/CD automation.
- Hands-on experience with Harness OR Backstage.
- Good understanding of Developer Portals / Internal Developer Platforms.
- Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes / Azure AKS preferred.
- Strong understanding of software development, debugging and deployment practices.
Good to Have:
- Experience with APIs and backend development.
- Experience with ETL/ELT and cloud-based data pipelines.
- Experience integrating developer tools, repositories, CI/CD and cloud services with Backstage/Harness.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
