Job Description
PKI SME (10+ Years Experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PKI Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 10+ years of experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate lifecycle management, and enterprise security solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Venafi, Microsoft PKI, certificate automation, and operational support across large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support enterprise PKI and certificate lifecycle management services.
Perform certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
Support day-to-day operational activities, incident management, problem resolution, and service requests related to PKI infrastructure.
Administer and maintain Venafi Trust Protection Platform and Microsoft PKI environments.
Integrate certificate management solutions with platforms including CAPI, JDK, F5, AWS ACM, and other certificate consumers.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and REST APIs.
Monitor PKI infrastructure health, certificate expiry, compliance, and security standards.
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, application, and security teams to support certificate lifecycle requirements.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
Support audit, compliance, and governance requirements related to PKI services.
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Venafi and Microsoft PKI.
Deep understanding of certificate lifecycle management processes.
Experience with CAPI, JDK Keystores, F5 Load Balancers, AWS ACM, and Venafi APIs.
Strong PowerShell scripting and REST API integration skills.
Experience with Windows Server administration.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise authentication mechanisms.
Understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, DNS, VPN, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
Experience working in highly regulated environments with security and compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of HSM technologies.
Experience with cloud certificate management (AWS/Azure).
Familiarity with ITIL processes.
Relevant PKI or security certifications.
