Job Title - Data Security Analyst

Location - Remote in India (Must be open to EST working hours, ideally 5 am2 pm EST)

Role Type - Contract through 7/30/2027

Must Have Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 & Purview Fundamentals
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 data workloads: SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook/Exchange, Teams
  • Experience with sensitivity labels and label policies
  • Basic Purview Information Protection and DLP concepts
  • Understanding of PII, PCI, and confidential data protection practices
  • Familiarity with DLP actions and tuning for false positives
  • Security operations experience including log/alert review and documentation
  • Clear verbal and written communication; ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with appropriate escalation judgment
  • A learning mindset and passion for developing deeper security expertise (SC-900 / SC-400 certifications are a plus)

Responsibilities and Job Details:

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and logs across Microsoft 365 environments
  • Support and maintain data protection policies using Microsoft Purview tools
  • Apply and manage sensitivity labels, label policies, and DLP configurations
  • Identify and classify sensitive data (PII, PCI, confidential) and ensure appropriate controls
  • Assist in tuning DLP policies to reduce false positives and enhance enforcement
  • Document findings and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security Ops, IAM, and Engineering
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Participate in ongoing knowledge development to deepen cybersecurity expertise
  • Contribute to operational improvements in data security workflows
  • Assist in the implementation of best practices around data loss prevention
  • Work effectively in a remote team environment aligned to U.S. EST hours
