About The Team & Your Role

Strategic Planning & Analytics team is architected to move beyond traditional HR, functioning as a strategic engine that fuels ST's growth through five specialized pillars: Business Partnerships, Products & AI, Workforce Insights, Data Science, and Workforce Planning Architecture. We are currently in an ambitious build-phase, moving away from legacy processes to create a sophisticated, tech-enabled function that mirrors the engineering excellence of the semiconductor industry. We don't want to just manage headcount; we want to build intelligent frameworks and predictive models that ensure our global workforce is as cutting-edge as the semiconductor solutions we provide to the world.

As a member of this team, you won't be working in a silo. You will be at the intersection of human capital and advanced technology, leveraging AI and data science to solve complex organizational challenges and expected to be a foundational builder. We are looking for pioneers to help us design and implement our first generation of advanced analytics and AI-driven products. You won't just be using technologyyou will be architecting the roadmap, selecting the tools, and establishing the data science frameworks that will define how ST manages its global talent for years to come. Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional and global teams to lead projects solving complex business problems using data science and advanced analytics to frame right questions and predict trends
  • Lead teams to own complete analytics project lifecycle from requirement gathering, data extraction to reporting/ presenting the findings in IC role or with the team as per project needs
  • Proactively use data science concepts to design methodologies and frameworks to connect business and people data together to identify and solve complex business problems and deliver impact on people experience, performance and culture
  • Excellent experience in programming ML languages like Python and Azure/SWL/ Snowflake/ DataBricks
  • Effectively use data mining algorithms such as clustering, decision trees, logistic regression, ARMIA, Bayesian networks, neural networks etc.
  • Ability to use GenAI plugins with open-source stack to develop conversational layers on SQL databases
  • Apply appropriate techniques, such as exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis, forecasting techniques and so on
  • Develop statistical models to support HR Analytics offerings and solutions
  • Work on advanced statistical models to measure and improve on-going performance of employee metrics using unstructured data using NoSQL or Data lakes
  • Work with senior stakeholders to help them conceptualize People KPIs and build solutions from scratch, and have a strong bias towards creating clean, powerful, user-focused visualizations to deliver insights and analysis. Technologies used could vary from Power BI, Advanced Excel, VBA, or any other new technology
  • Zeal to learn new things and implement learnings in an innovative manner.

Background

  • Candidate should possess Can-do attitude with excellent quantitative skills, with an ability to work on large datasets. They should be able to generate actionable insights from data analysis that translates to valuable business decisions for the business stakeholders
  • Must have programing and coding experience in R, Python or MS Azure
  • Must have experience in Machine Learning, AI and Natural Language Processing
  • Understanding of SDLC, ETL
  • Experience in designing and setting up Date Lakes
  • Strong experience in finding data patterns and storytelling from disconnected data
  • Business consulting experience will be good
  • 7 to 10 years of developing end-to-end Decision Science solutions: data modeling, ETL and reporting
  • Masters/ PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology equivalent
  • Understanding of HCM systems like Oracle is an added advantage
  • Excellent English, quantitative, technical, and Storytelling skills
