About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Big Data & Advanced Analyst to join the DAIS team within VOIS. This role is focused on delivering analytical and decision-support services to Vodafone businesses globally. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions using advanced analytics, machine learning, and big data technologies. You will contribute to the development, deployment, and optimisation of analytical models that create measurable business value while driving standardisation, automation, and innovation across analytical delivery.

Location: Pune (preferred) or Bangalore

What you will do

• Support the development and deployment of analytical solutions across descriptive, inferential, predictive, and prescriptive analytics domains.
• Build, validate, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models to address business challenges and generate measurable outcomes.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, expected outcomes, and success criteria.
• Leverage existing analytical assets, data models, insights, and methodologies from across the Vodafone ecosystem to accelerate value creation.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to large-scale structured and unstructured datasets containing tens of millions of records.
• Conduct hypothesis testing, scenario analysis, forecasting, classification, regression, and predictive modelling activities.
• Drive efficiency improvements through automation, standardisation, and reusability of analytical products and services.
• Present analytical findings, model outputs, business insights, and impact assessments to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Contribute to proof of concepts, proofs of value, and scalable automated analytics solutions.
• Maintain documentation and support knowledge sharing to enhance analytical capabilities across teams.

Who you are

• Demonstrated experience in building predictive machine learning models on cloud-based big data platforms, with multiple models successfully delivered into business environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, PySpark, Hive, and advanced SQL.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets exceeding millions of records in cloud-based environments.
• Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning methodologies across supervised and unsupervised learning use cases.
• Experience delivering classification, regression, and forecasting models with measurable business impact.
• Knowledge of feature engineering, model optimisation, and model deployment approaches.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience using version control tools such as Git.
• Exposure to H2O AutoML, NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, or related ecosystems.
• Experience in geospatial analytics would be advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and deliver a positive customer experience.
