Must-Have

• 7+ years of professional experience experience in data science
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related IT field
• Prior experience in Data engineering / Retail functions is preferred.
• Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
• Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling
• Experience with Big data tools, Tableau, Pyspark, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python)
• Experience in Machine learning – Data Classification, Regression analysis, clustering, etc.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Good-to-Have

• Business-first mindset
• Experience working with Cloud technology (Azure experience preferred. Candidates with Azure DevOps and/or Azure Architecture certifications preferred)
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects
• Experience with continuous improvement to deliver solutions that are at the forefront of industry leading techniques while also adhering to best practices.
• Ability to lead a technical group in solving problems and moving forward
• Experience developing and tuning Pyspark /MS SQL / PostgreSQL queries
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban or Scrum) and software development lifecycles
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to work with messy, incomplete data
• Prioritization under tight business timelines (daily/weekly decisions)
