[What you will be working on]
- Contribute to AI strategy by developing and supporting the team's transition towards industry standard MLOps and Agentic AI frameworks, support OTD's core efforts to provide value returns to NYP's schools and department, and aid the elevating of skills and talent within OTD and across AI practitioners in NYP.
- Take on the challenging and strategic enterprise AI projects. You will lead the management of project teams, engage in high impact problem-solving exercise, engage in the selection and implementation of algorithms, and be responsible for the accuracy, efficiency, explainability, performance and scalability of AI solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of data engineers, data analysts, product managers, and domain experts to deliver timely and relevant AI solutions. This involves frequent engagement and maintenance of favourable relations with the stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship support for the data scientists attached under you. You will be responsible for organising their efforts, uplifting their core competencies, and reviewing their work to ensure high standards and conformity to best practice.
- Stay at the cutting edge of AI innovations by actively surveying the AI landscape and consistently uplifting your technical proficiency.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned to support NYP's transformation efforts.
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant academic or professional qualification equivalent to a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in developing data and AI projects.
- Technically proficient in Python, SQL, data preparation, use of data science and ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas).
- Knowledge of data engineering principles and architecture, AI operations tools and methodologies (e.g., MLOps, CI/CD) and BI tools (e.g. PowerBI).
- Experience in deploying and managing AI applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Copilot Studio) would be an added advantage.
- Strong written and presentation skills, analytical and innovative, thrives independently in a collaborative working environment.
