As a Data Scientist at Koch Capabilities India, you will apply data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics to solve meaningful business problems. You will work on predictive, forecasting, optimization, and decision analytics solutions that support day‑to‑day and strategic decision making.
This is a hands‑on role where you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of analytics solutions—from problem framing and modeling through deployment and ongoing performance monitoring. While exposure to Generative AI is valued, strong fundamentals in applied data science and machine learning are essential.
Our Team
You will be part of a cross‑functional Analytics and AI team delivering end‑to‑end solutions across multiple business functions. The team partners closely with business stakeholders and technical experts to move work from exploratory analysis into scalable, production‑ready solutions.

What You Will Do
- Translate business challenges into clearly defined analytical and machine learning problem statements.
- Collect, clean, and prepare data; perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, risks, and data quality issues.
- Build, train, validate, and compare predictive, forecasting, and statistical models.
- Perform feature engineering and experiment with multiple modeling approaches to improve performance.
- Evaluate models using appropriate metrics and ensure outputs are interpretable and relevant for business decisions.
- Design solutions that are scalable, reliable, and suitable for production use.
- Support deployment through dashboards, APIs, data pipelines, or applications, often in cloud environments.
- Monitor model performance and data drift; retrain and improve models as needed.
- Communicate insights through clear visualizations and concise narratives for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Document data sources, methodologies, assumptions, and results to support reuse, governance, and knowledge sharing.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning.
- Experience using Python for data analysis and modeling (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, statistical libraries).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets.
- Hands‑on experience with predictive modeling, forecasting, or optimization techniques.
- Experience designing or contributing to production‑ready analytics or ML solutions that are scalable and maintainable.
- Experience working with large, real‑world datasets.
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience deploying machine learning or analytics solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with time series modeling, statistical forecasting, or optimization methods.
- Understanding of MLOps concepts, including model versioning, monitoring, and retraining.
- Exposure to Generative AI / large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), or AI‑assisted analytics.
- Background in engineering, applied statistics, or operations research
