Data Scientist

Infosys Consulting, the management consulting business of Infosys, is looking to hire Data Scientists. Successful candidates will be part of a specialised customer-facing AI Labs team in our rapidly expanding Automation & Artificial Intelligence Consulting Practice. They will work closely with our AI Consultants and SMEs to define and deliver best-in-class solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ability to build and maintain productive, long-term working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Lead data pipeline design initiatives, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and address complex business challenges.
• Work with a broad range of Data Science tools, emerging technologies, and IT, compliance, and security-related requirements.
• Design and develop technology solutions to address business needs across multiple client engagements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, client infrastructure, platforms, and strategic objectives, ensuring smooth implementation and transition.
• Partner with global AI teams and clients to develop innovative solutions and contribute to AI strategy development.
• Apply strong logical thinking, structured problem-solving, and advanced database knowledge to derive actionable insights from data.
• Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Utilize programming expertise and a strong understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning methodologies to deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to high-impact initiatives in collaboration with Data Scientists and technology professionals across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree/PhD in Statistics, computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• Solid understanding in Statistics, e.g., hypothesis formulation, hypothesis testing, descriptive analysis and data exploration.
• Expert level experience in Python or R.
• Strong experience in machine learning algorithms like - Linear/Logistic regression, Random forest, SVM, Neural Networks, Deep Learning – CNN, RNN, LSTM.
• Exposure to NLP and Computer vision use cases.
• In-depth knowledge of neural networks and architectures.
• Familiarity with the latest DL architectures.
• Toolkits/Frameworks/Libraries - Pytorch, TF/Keras, Scikit-Learn, BERT.
• Experience in Machine Learning Lifecycle – Data Processing, Algorithm Benchmarking, Validation.
• Exposure to build an AI model from scratch.
• Exposure to Graph based databases is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases.
