Urban Company started out as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders realized that the home services industry was largely unorganized, fragmented, and offline. Customers found it difficult to access quality services in a convenient manner, and service professionals struggled due to reliance on multiple middlemen. What You'll Do:

As a Senior Data Scientist at Urban Company, you will hold a critical role in elevating our data-driven capabilities and influencing the direction of our product development and business strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to real world data.
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality. Designing and overseeing complex experiments to evaluate the impact of our team's work on the business.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, business teams, and marketing, to implement models and monitor outcomes
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Taking the lead in quantifying the business impact of potential projects and identifying significant opportunities for growth.
• Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models to address complex problems, such as inventory planning, matchmaking and recoveries.
• Presenting your findings, insights, and data-driven recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decision-making at the highest level.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to the data science team, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

What we'll need :

BS/MS in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.

We're looking for someone with 3-6 years of experience with following expertise:

• Knowledge and experience in ML techniques - GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Neural Networks, Deep Learning.
• Experience in Generative AI production applications - preferably chatbots and voicebots
• Experience with languages - Python, PySpark, Tensorflow, Pytorch
• Experience in the domain of user personalisation and demand supply modelling.
• Excellent SQL skills and the ability to use tools such as Python, R, Excel, or Tableau to work efficiently at scale with large data sets
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and design of experiments and analysis
• Experience with Cloud computing tools - Sagemaker
• Experience with Model Deployment Frameworks - MLFlow, Kserve
• Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner
• Superb communication and organization skills.
