Designation: Data Scientist II

Position Description:
The Data Scientist is crucial in leveraging data to derive meaningful insights and solutions for complex business problems. This individual will lead and guide the data science team in developing advanced analytical models, algorithms, and statistical analyses. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data-driven solutions, making strategic decisions, and enhancing overall business performance. The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models, conducting data exploration, and communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate their goals into data science initiatives, taking a leadership role in project definition.
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to place ads in the context of cutting-edge privacy frameworks efficiently, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to optimize budget allocation in scenarios with high cardinality and uncertainty, driving significant business impact.
- Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to discover complex data sets patterns, trends, and insights, providing strategic recommendations.
- Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and relevant technologies, driving adoption of best practices within the team.
- Lead the development and training of sophisticated ML/DL models for forecasting/classification, optimizing for performance and interpretability.
- Design and build robust AI agents & RAG-based systems, overseeing their deployment and maintenance.
- Leverage data-driven insights and predictive modeling to build high-impact PoCs and transition them into production-ready solutions.
- Design and implement advanced recommendation systems to improve campaign performance, and work on optimization techniques for these recommendation systems.
- Architect and implement orchestration workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar, ensuring efficient and scalable data pipelines.
- Utilize advanced SQL for complex data analysis, feature engineering, and reporting, driving critical business intelligence.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven track record of tackling complex, ambiguous problems.
- Strong coding skills in Python, with experience in developing and deploying production-grade code.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in data science and machine learning, with a focus on leading projects.
- Solid background in advanced statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference.
- Expert proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in optimizing queries and data processing.
- Preferred experience with GCP Platform, including expertise in relevant services like BigQuery, AI Platform, and Vertex AI.
- Exposure to RAG, LLMs, and agentic workflows - including advanced techniques in Finetuning & Evaluation, and prompt engineering.
- Deep familiarity and practical experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration toolkits, for building complex AI applications.
- Plus points if you have a strong background in the AdTech space, particularly in optimization and bidding strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey highly technical concepts to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
