Summary:
The Data Scientist plays a crucial role in driving data-driven insights across various business functions, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to support decision-making and innovation within the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and statistical models.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
- Build predictive and prescriptive models for process optimization and demand forecasting.
- Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights.
- Validate and improve model performance in production environments.
- Document methodologies and findings for knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data science.
Key Requirements:
- 36 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or similar analytics role.
- Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) or R.
- Experience with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, etc.).
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial domains.
- Exposure to advanced analytics use cases (process modeling, predictive maintenance).
- Knowledge of MLOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional environments.
