Role Description

FastutorAI is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist AI/ML II for a full-time remote position. This role focuses on applying advanced machine learning, statistical modeling, and data science techniques to enhance our AI-driven learning platform. The Data Scientist will work across the full model lifecycledata exploration, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment support, and continuous optimization.

You will work with diverse educational datasets, build predictive and adaptive learning models, and contribute to AI systems that personalize the learner experience. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, content, and research will be essential to improve outcomes and drive innovation across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Learning & Model Development

Develop, train, and validate machine learning and deep learning models to support personalized learning experiences, recommendations, and adaptive tutoring.

Apply statistical techniques and predictive modeling to analyze learner behaviors, performance trends, and platform usage.

Conduct feature engineering, model experimentation, error analysis, and iterative refinement to improve accuracy and reliability.

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on structured and unstructured educational datasets.

Identify patterns, insights, and opportunities using advanced statistical methods.

Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for product enhancements and learning experience improvements.

Data Visualization & Reporting

Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights, model performance, and system behavior to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Present analysis results to cross-functional teams, supporting data-informed product decisions.

Collaboration & Integration

Partner with engineering teams to support model integration into FastutorAI's ecosystem.

Work closely with product and content teams to align modeling efforts with learner needs and educational outcomes.

Participate in design discussions, roadmap planning, and data strategy development.

Qualifications

Required

Strong proficiency in data science methodologies, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

Solid foundation in Statistics, probability, and experimental design.

Hands-on experience with data analysis techniques, including EDA, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

Expertise in data visualization using tools such as Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly), Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

Experience working with datasets, relational databases, and data querying (SQL).

Ability to communicate analytical results clearly and effectively.

Preferred

Master's degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Experience working with large-scale or real-time data systems.

Experience in EdTech, personalized learning, or AI-driven educational platforms.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps practices.
