SAP Business AI

SAP's Business AI growth area brings together product development, marketing, go-to-market, and services teams into a dedicated end-to-end unit. In this set-up we focus on accelerating our AI foundation, scaling AI swiftly across our product portfolio, and driving customer adoption of SAP Business AI. In doing so, we collaborate closely with all teams across SAP. Our goal is to leverage the Generative AI momentum to make SAP #1 in Business AI and redefine business process software for the next 50 years.

What you'll do

. Support the development of agentic AI workflows, including simple agent orchestration, prompt chaining, and tool-calling pipelines.

. Assist in the fine-tuning of large language models for tasks like code generation, code explanation, and automated transformations.

. Understand project needs and translate them into structured data and model tasks.

. Prepare and preprocess datasets to ensure clean, high-quality input for training and evaluation.

. Run experiments with different fine-tuning or configuration techniques, documenting results and insights.

. Analyze model and agent performance using basic evaluation metrics and help identify potential improvements.

. Participate in team discussions, sharing ideas and learning best practices around agentic AI development.

. Keep up with developments in generative AI, LLM frameworks, and agentic systems.

What you bring

. Bachelor's or Master's degree (or pursuing one) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.

. 3+ years of professional experience delivering machine learning and generative AI projects.

. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

. Ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively with a technical team.

. Good written and verbal communication skills.

. Strong Python skills with exposure to ML/AI libraries.

. Strong experience in designing and implementing multi-agent systems for complex workflows, including orchestration, shared state, memory, and human-in-the-loop patterns.

. Ability to build agentic AI solutions with focus on reliability, evaluation, observability, and enterprise tool integration.

. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus, not mandatory.
