Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Data Science Faculty (PG ONLY) based in Coimbatore. The Data Science Faculty member will design and deliver postgraduate-level courses and modules in data science, including topics such as statistics, machine learning, data visualization, programming, and real-world project work. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating instructional content and assessments, mentoring learners on capstone projects, and providing regular feedback to help them build job-ready skills. The role involves staying current with industry trends and tools, integrating real-world case studies into teaching, and collaborating with academic and program teams to continuously improve curriculum quality. The faculty member will also participate in academic reviews, workshops, and placement-focused training initiatives aligned with FACE Prep's mission.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core data science concepts such as statistics, probability, data analysis, and machine learning, with the ability to teach these at a postgraduate level.
- Hands-on experience with data science tools and technologies (e.g., Python or R, libraries for data manipulation and modeling, data visualization tools, SQL or similar).
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience in data science, analytics, computer science, or related domains, preferably with postgraduate learners.
- Ability to design curricula, create learning materials, and develop practical assignments and projects aligned with industry expectations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a learner-centric and inclusive teaching approach.
- Postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Tech, M.E., M.Sc., M.Stat, M.S., or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, AI/ML, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with industry use cases, current trends in AI/ML and data engineering, and an interest in integrating these into course content.
- Ability to collaborate with academic coordinators, placement teams, and other faculty members to improve learning outcomes and employability.
