About The Role
As a Data Science Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimising our internal and external data environments. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making across the business. What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years experience in a Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering role
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and modern data stack tools
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, and Google BigQuery
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data modelling
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and version control (Git)
- Skilled in building automated testing and monitoring frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Committed to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise ETL pipelines and data workflows
- Build scalable data models, warehousing solutions, and analytics frameworks
- Write clean, documented code aligned with team standards
- Collaborate in sprint planning and refinement sessions
- Implement data validation rules and quality checks
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and schemas
- Develop automated testing and monitoring for data processes
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Build reusable code libraries and tools for team efficiency
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
