What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the Data Science & AI Specialist Lead within your squad, coaching and mentoring engineers to ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
- Coordinate technical solutions and roadmaps for the Data Analytics & AI domain.
- Lead the extraction and analysis of big data using advanced Data Science & AI techniques to generate insights for decision-making and product innovation.
- Drive model development: data exploration, feature extraction, validation, and scoring.
- Create impactful visualizations to make complex analyses accessible to diverse audiences.
- Champion initiatives around AI fairness, ethics, interpretability, safety, robustness, and privacy.
- Mentor Data Science & AI professionals, acting as a technical resource and knowledge hub.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in machine learning and AI, sharing knowledge with the team.
- Support documentation of data products, including user guides and runbooks.
- Ensure operational maintenance of all data products.
Skills & Experience You'll Bring
- Expertise in CI/CD setups and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or OpenTofu preferred).
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Apache Beam, Apache Flink).
- Knowledge of integration technologies like Kafka, API, Pub/Sub.
- Experience with near real-time (NRT) data pipelines is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and one of Scala/Java.
- Strong experience in cloud environments (preferably GCP), including:
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- Orchestration tools
- Big data and ETL services
- Serverless compute services
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8) and cloud networking (desirable but not mandatory).
- Solid background in data management, architecture, security, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Proven experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
- Agile methodology experience.
