We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Research Specialists to join our Research team in Delhi, India.
About The Role
The Data Research Specialist will be home based in India, providing support for automotive data research for India market.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and excellent desktop research skills. The role requires a strong focus on collaboration, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Key Responsibilities
- Update JATO databases and news bulletins with accurate, timely automotive data (pricing, specs, options, etc.).
- Track automotive market updates using internal systems and official industry, OEM, and online sources.
- Review documentation for new or changed vehicle specifications and align with JATO data structures.
- Interpret and input vehicle data per JATO definitions, quality standards, and procedures.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and SLA/KPI compliance.
- Apply data corrections as directed by management, CoE, business needs, or head office.
- Complete assigned workloads and support priority or specialized team tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with local teams during shared work hours.
- Stay current with and implement updates to JATO procedures.
- Use JATO workload, time-tracking, and research tools efficiently.
Key Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will preferably hold a degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Working experience and or/ familiarity with and curiosity about cars, automotive specifications, and vehicle technology is preferred.
- Desktop research skills combined with analytical thinking and a data-driven mentality are vital, as obtaining relevant and high-quality information is critical for this role.
- A very good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to focus on large amounts of data.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as familiarity with basic data manipulation tasks is key.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for fostering productive and effective relationships with internal teams across the globe.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and coordinating efforts to contribute to seamless data operations.
- Effective time management, punctuality, adherence to deadlines, and a proactive approach.
