About the Role
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our dataqualityefforts. Your key responsibilities will include:
Framework Accountability:Oversee the central dataissue managementand qualityframework ensuringitmeetsstakeholder requirementsandincorporateenhancements aligned with ourData Strategy.
DQIDevelopment:Designnewandreview existing Data Quality Indicators (DQI)tocontinuouslymonitordata qualityand providetransparent reportingofthedata-relatedrisks.
Tooling Enablement:Steertooling development andcapabilitiesto trackand effectively managedata issuesand drive adoption withintheData Governance community.
StakeholderManagement& Communication:Work closely with internal Tech and Business stakeholders,atall levels,toimplementdataissuemanagementand qualityframeworks andalign onfuture enhancements.
Best Practice andCulture Promotion:Promotea culture of data quality and accountability through stakeholder engagement, training, and consulting.
About the Team
Ourdepartment, partof Group Data Services, is committed to strengtheningdata,AIand recordsgovernance practicesacross Swiss Re.We are the global focus point of data governance,operatingfromZurich, Bratislava, andBangalore, focusing on meeting regulatoryrequirementsand enhancing data issue management and quality control.
About You:
You have a Data Governance background with practical experience in Data Quality and managing data distribution in an enterprise environment.
You have experience working in IT and areverycomfortablediscussing systems and technology with our IT colleagues.You understand data and tech.
You are familiar with platforms that provide automated Data Quality controls (Palantir Foundry experience will be considered a plus).
You arean excellent communicator andvery confidentwhenpresenting toandaligningwithseniorstakeholdersfrom all areas of Swiss Re.
You have experienceinbuilding and managing small teams.
Key Skills Required:
Educational Background:University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, ora relatedfield.
Experience:8+ years of relevantexperienceacrossindustry, IT, and data centric applications. This should includea minimum of 3 yearsofpractical experienceinDataQualityand/orGovernance, andbe familiar withmanaging data distribution in an enterprise environment.Experience in an international organization and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment are highly valued.
Risk &Governance Knowledge:Solidunderstanding of data riskinan enterprise level as well aspracticalknowledge of Data Governance principles.
Tool Proficiency:Familiarity with data management platformsthat provide Data Quality controls(e.g.Informatica Data Quality orPalantir FoundryData Health).
