Data Quality Analyst – Key Requirements
Strong expertise in Data Quality and Data Management, with the ability to assess, monitor, validate, and improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
Hands-on understanding of Data Governance, data quality frameworks, and data standards, ensuring adherence to established policies, controls, and business rules.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data anomalies, investigate root causes, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel/spreadsheets, and BI/reporting tools for data validation, profiling, reconciliation, analysis, and quality reporting.
Experience working with data warehouses, databases, ETL/data integration processes, and reporting environments is preferred.
Ability to develop and maintain data quality checks, validation rules, KPIs, dashboards, and recurring quality reports to monitor data health and identify emerging issues.
Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to data investigation, issue documentation, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with data engineers, developers, business analysts, data owners, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple data-quality issues, priorities, and deadlines effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous, particularly where data accuracy, privacy, compliance, and governance are critical.
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
