Job Description

Data Quality Analyst

Location: Kochi, Kerala / Delhi NCR — On-site

Company: Intelo.ai

———

About Intelo

Intelo is building AI agents that transform how the world's largest retailers make decisions. Our platform powers merchandising and supply chain intelligence — turning complex, high-volume retail data into precise, automated actions that drive real business outcomes.

We work with global retail brands across luxury, specialty, and mass market — helping them forecast smarter, plan faster, and operate with less waste. Every agent we build depends on data that is accurate, consistent, and trustworthy.

———

Role Overview

AI is only as good as the data it runs on.

We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst who treats data integrity as a discipline — not a checklist. Someone who is naturally drawn to the question why does this number not look right and cannot rest until they have found the answer.

In this role, you will work across our product, engineering, implementation, and integrations teams to build the standards, systems, and rigour that keep our data — and by extension, our AI — reliable at scale. You will define what good data looks like at Intelo, and hold the organisation to it.

This is a high-impact role at the core of what makes our platform work. The people who thrive here are equal parts analytical and curious — they do not just find problems, they understand them deeply and fix them permanently.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integrity & Validation

- Define, implement, and maintain data quality standards across all data flows within the platform

- Build validation frameworks and automated checks that surface anomalies early in the data lifecycle

- Establish reconciliation processes that ensure consistency across systems, sources, and environments

- Own data quality monitoring — proactive, structured, and always improving

Root Cause Analysis & Resolution

- Investigate data discrepancies at the source — not just the symptom

- Triage and classify issues with precision: source data, transformation logic, integration failure, or configuration gap

- Partner with engineering and product to drive permanent fixes, not temporary workarounds

- Build a living knowledge base of issues, patterns, and resolutions that compounds in value over time

Cross-functional Partnership

- Collaborate closely with Implementation, Integrations, Product, and Engineering to understand end-to-end data flows

- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

- Contribute to technical documentation: data dictionaries, validation runbooks, and quality guidelines

Standards & Scalability

- Build data quality processes that scale as Intelo grows — in clients, complexity, and volume

- Identify patterns across data environments that can be standardised, automated, or pre-empted

- Champion a culture where every data point is explainable and every discrepancy is worth understanding

———

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, business intelligence, or a closely related analytical role

- A genuine instinct for data — you notice when something is off before anyone flags it

- High proficiency in SQL — you write, optimise, and debug queries independently and fluently

- Demonstrated experience investigating and resolving complex data discrepancies across multiple systems

- Strong communication skills — you can articulate a data problem clearly and precisely to any audience

- Rigorous documentation discipline — every finding, decision, and resolution is captured in writing

- High ownership mindset — you identify what needs to be done and you do it

- Proven experience in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain data environments — you understand how retail numbers work and what it means when they don't

———

Preferred Experience

- Deep familiarity with retail data concepts — inventory, demand planning, replenishment, sell-through, or merchandising operations

- Familiarity with data pipeline architecture, ETL processes, or data engineering concepts

- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar

- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for data analysis and automation

- Experience building data quality frameworks or reconciliation processes from the ground up

- Prior experience at a high-growth AI or SaaS company

———

What Strong Looks Like in This Role

A strong Data Quality Analyst at Intelo:

- Has an instinct for data that goes beyond tools or queries — they read numbers the way others read text

- Investigates discrepancies to their root, not their surface

- Communicates findings with the same clarity in a technical review as in a leadership conversation

- Builds processes that make every subsequent data issue faster to find and cleaner to resolve

- Documents everything — knowledge locked in one person's head is a risk, not an asset

- Treats data quality as a product discipline, not a support function

———

Why Join Intelo

- Work at the frontier of applied AI — where the models are only as powerful as the data that feeds them

- High ownership from day one — no waiting in line to matter

- Direct exposure to complex, high-stakes retail data across global enterprise accounts

- A culture that rewards rigour, curiosity, and the discipline to do things properly

- A fast-moving team where your standards become the organisation's standards
