Position Overview
Insights Opinion is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Quality Analyst to join our CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) market research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data collected through telephone surveys, maintaining the highest standards of data quality and integrity across all research projects.
This role is critical to delivering actionable insights to our clients by ensuring that data collection processes adhere to quality standards, identifying and resolving data issues, and implementing quality control measures throughout the survey lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality Management
- Monitor and assess data quality throughout the CATI survey process, from fieldwork to final deliverables
- Perform data profiling and validation to identify data quality issues, anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing values
- Conduct regular audits of survey data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications
- Implement quality assurance processes to validate data accuracy and completeness at each stage of data collection
- Design and maintain data quality dashboards and metrics to track performance indicators
- Identify and document data quality issues for tracking, escalation, and resolution
CATI Operations Quality Control
- Monitor live CATI interviews through call monitoring and audio audits to ensure interviewer compliance with protocols
- Review survey questionnaires for logical flow, skip patterns, and data capture accuracy
- Conduct spot checks and real-time quality assessments during fieldwork
- Validate quota management and sample distribution to ensure representative data collection
- Ensure interviewers adhere to survey protocols, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines
- Coordinate with CATI supervisors and field managers to address quality concerns promptly
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze data sets using SQL, Excel, and statistical tools to identify patterns, trends, and outliers
- Perform root cause analysis to determine sources of data quality errors and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and present data quality reports, insights, and recommendations to project managers and stakeholders
- Create visualizations and summary reports highlighting data quality metrics and trends
- Track and report on data quality improvement initiatives and their outcomes
- Interpret data quality metrics and provide ongoing performance updates
Process Improvement and Documentation
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality checks and validation processes
- Identify opportunities for automating data quality processes and implementing efficiency

- Collaborate with IT and research teams to enhance data collection platforms and tools
- Assist in the development and expansion of data quality programs and initiatives
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with project managers, survey programmers, and data processing teams to ensure data integrity
- Provide training and guidance to CATI interviewers on data quality standards and best practices
- Respond to data quality queries and support troubleshooting efforts across projects
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to understand client requirements and quality expectations
- Liaise with clients when necessary to clarify data requirements and resolve quality issues
Required Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Market Research, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 1-3 years of experience in data quality analysis, market research operations, or CATI surveys
- Proven experience with telephone survey methodologies and CATI platforms
- Experience conducting data quality audits and implementing quality control processes
- Familiarity with survey research methods and primary data collection procedures
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying, extraction, and validation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and analysis
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data quality metrics
- Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques
- Familiarity with CATI survey platforms and call monitoring systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent numerical and logical reasoning skills
- Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in large datasets
- Critical thinking and ability to determine root causes of data quality issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present complex data quality insights in a clear and understandable manner
