Position Title: D&T Analyst II - Data Quality Tool Engineer
Function/Group: Digital & Technology
Location: Mumbai | Shift: 01:30 PM - 10:30 PM IST | Mode: Hybrid
Reports to: Assistant D&T Manager - Data Quality

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Quality Tool Engineer to support and enhance our data governance, cataloguing, and analytics tools (e.g., Alation) while collaborating with multiple technology teams. The role involves tool maintenance, future integrations (SAP, GCP), automation scripting (Python), and ensuring smooth operations across the data governance ecosystem. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Assistant D&T Manager - Data Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support data governance tooling platforms and ensure stability, upgrades, and enhancements.

• Collaborate with Data Governance, Analytics Architects, and cross-functional teams for smooth operations and integrations.

• Execute technical integrations, manage ETL jobs, and maintain Alation to BigQuery pipelines.

• Develop and manage automation scripts (Python, SQL) and support analytic/reporting requirements.

• Provide Level 2/3 support, troubleshoot issues, m anage vendor tickets, and assist in feature testing.

• Influence data governance technology roadmap and communicate risks, dependencies, and impacts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in analytics solutions, tool support, and automation 2+ years with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

• Proficient in Python, SQL, ETL, and scripting for automation.

• Strong knowledge of data governance strategies, analytics platforms, and integration techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with DevOps, Shell scripting, network basics, and Data Catalog tools (Alation or similar) is a plus.
