Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the organization's critical data ingestion platform, handling diverse structured, unstructured, real-time, and batch data from various sources.
Define and champion the product vision, conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery for innovation and improvement.
Elicit and prioritize requirements from stakeholders across the organization, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and resource constraints.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new features and improvements to the data ingestion platform, creating detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new features and platform updates.
Monitor platform performance and user adoption, identifying areas for improvement through usage data analysis, user surveys, and feedback.
Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders, including executive leadership, engineering, and business units.
Regularly engage with users through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand needs and pain points.
Employ various product discovery techniques to identify and validate product opportunities.
Prepare and present regular product updates and performance reviews to leadership.
Conduct pulse checks and surveys to monitor user satisfaction and identify emerging issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data products.
Deep understanding of data ingestion principles, technologies, and best practices.
Experience with various data types (structured, unstructured, real-time, batch).
Proven ability to define and execute product roadmaps.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with data visualization and analytics tools is a plus.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
