Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Privacy Compliance and Monitoring:
    • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of privacy policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with laws such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations
    • Maintain records of processing activities (ROPA) as required by data protection regulations using Verint's appointed privacy platform
    • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new projects or systems involving personal data including vendor appointments
    • Refresh PIAs and DPIAs in accordance with refresh cycles.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain privacy elements of multi-disciplinary records e.g. ESG and AI related records
  1. Individual Rights Management
    • Monitor and action subject access requests and respond in accordance with statutory guidelines and policies
  1. Data Governance:
    • Support the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks to ensure the proper handling of personal data
    • Monitor and manage data retention and deletion schedules
    • Identify and address data quality and integrity issues
  1. Incident Response and Risk Management:
    • Collaborate with the Incident Response Team to manage and document data breaches or privacy incidents
    • Support SVP Global Privacy in risk assessments related to personal data handling and recommend mitigation strategies
  1. Training and Awareness:
    • Conduct or support training sessions for employees on privacy-related topics
    • Develop and distribute awareness materials, including Learning Management System (LMS) content to promote a culture of privacy within the organization
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain and update privacy documentation, including policies, notices, and agreements
    • Participate on working groups responsible for documentation support business initiatives related to privacy
    • Prepare reports and presentations for SVP Global Privacy regarding privacy compliance status, audits, and incident



. Coordinate with SVP Global Privacy and other data privacy officers to advance the implementation of clients's enterprise privacy management system, the Global Privacy Office function in order to meet agreed targets

. Provide proactive, practical, business orientated advice to teams regarding client's enterprise privacy management system & Global Privacy Office initiatives

. Develop policies and procedures related to privacy compliance and management of data inventory records and orchestrate the process to ensure such records are accurate and up-to-date

. Liaise with other risk, compliance, IT and other business functions to progress initiatives which complement or impact privacy related matters (e.g., incident management, Sales)

. Cultivate knowledge and understanding of global privacy legislation (e.g. CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA, US State of breach laws, GDPR etc.)

. Provide proactive support and education to various Verint teams regarding relevant privacy, ESG and other risk & compliance initiatives

. Provide privacy, ESG and other risk & compliance training to new staff hires, as required

. Continue to develop LMS and other educational materials in support of privacy and risk & compliance objectives across the regions

. Remain informed regarding legal developments in privacy, ESG, or other compliance matters

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manager Data Privacy should have:

  • A strong educational background in law, information security, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in data privacy regulations, including GDPR and other global privacy laws.
  • Experience in managing privacy frameworks and compliance programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certifications in data privacy, such as CIPP or equivalent, would be an advantage.
