About the role
We are hiring a Data Privacy Lead to own the privacy architecture of a workforce analytics initiative within a large data and AI programme. You will design the anonymisation framework under which all employee data is processed, run the Privacy Impact Assessment through formal approval gates.
What you'll do
- Design and document the anonymisation and privacy framework: techniques, k-anonymity thresholds, aggregation rules, retention policies
- Own the PIA end to end: maintain the log, present at milestone gates, deliver the final signed report
- Define RBAC access tiers and validate zero individual-level data exposure at every level
- Lead privacy testing gates and act as escalation point for privacy incidents
- Advise ML and data engineers on privacy-preserving design and review outputs before release
What you'll need
- 6+ years in data privacy with hands-on anonymisation delivery on HR or similarly sensitive data
- Practical command of k-anonymity, aggregation, pseudonymisation, and re-identification risk assessment
- Experience running PIAs through formal enterprise approval processes
- Working knowledge of UAE PDPL or equivalent regimes (GDPR)
- Confidence to hold the line with senior stakeholders when privacy and delivery pressure collide
Nice to have
- IAPP CIPM (strongly preferred; CIPP/E or CIPT valued)
- Experience in ML/AI delivery environments
- GCC delivery experience
