Job Description

API and Web Services Knowledge: Experience with API management, web service protocols (SOAP, REST), and related technologies

XML Technologies: Knowledge of XML, XSLT, XSD, and WSDL

Security Principles: Understanding of security concepts, including authentication, authorization, and encryptio

JD: A DataPower administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM DataPower appliances and related infrastructure, such as API Connect.

Responsibility:

  • Installation and Configuration
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining DataPower appliances and API Connect infrastructure.
  • Security
  • Implementing and managing security policies, including AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Auditing), SSL certificates, and cryptographic objects.
  • Routing and Load Balancing:
  • Configuring dynamic routing, load balancing, and ensuring high availability for APIs.
  • Service Management
  • Managing the deployment of XSLT, XSDs, and WSDLs, as well as managing web service proxies.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and identifying areas for optimization.
  • Documentation and Collaboration
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, collaborating with development teams, and potentially working with network and security teams.
  • Capacity Planning
  • Assisting with capacity planning and scalability efforts
  • This involves tasks like configuring DataPower for secure routing, authentication, load balancing, and SSL TLS connections, as well as managing the deployment of XML related resources.
