Job Description

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to support enterprise cloud data platforms, data governance, cataloging, and metadata management initiatives. This role will work closely with engineering and architecture teams to enable and support modern AWS and Databricks-based data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable and support AWS-based data platform services and cloud-native data solutions.
  • Configure, manage, and support data cataloging and governance platforms.
  • Support metadata management, data lineage, data discovery, and governance initiatives.
  • Work extensively with AWS Glue, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Collibra.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard, catalog, and govern enterprise data assets.
  • Support platform administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to support enterprise data architecture and governance standards.
  • Assist with the implementation of best practices for data quality, governance, metadata management, and catalog management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience working with AWS cloud services and data platforms.
  • Strong experience with Collibra.
  • Experience with Unity Catalog and metadata management concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue.
  • Experience working with Databricks and Delta Tables.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, cataloging, and enterprise data management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting e-commerce, digital commerce, retail, or customer-facing transaction platforms.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB and modern cloud data architectures.
  • Exposure to IDMC (Informatica Data Management Cloud).
  • Experience supporting customer, transactional, or analytical data domains.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
