Cloud Data Platform Engineer – Lead

Role Summary

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to build and optimize scalable data platform solutions. The role will focus on data modeling, advanced SQL, metadata management, distributed data platforms, and vector databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data platform solutions.
• Build and optimize data models and complex SQL queries.
• Work with ClickHouse or similar distributed data platforms in production.
• Perform query optimization, partitioning, aggregations, and performance tuning.
• Manage metadata, data cataloging, and lineage using OpenMetadata / Collate.
• Work with vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or ChromaDB.
• Develop scalable data ingestion and processing solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on data platform requirements.

Must-Have Skills

• Advanced SQL
• Data Modeling
• OpenMetadata / Collate
• ClickHouse or similar distributed data platform with 1–2 years of hands-on experience
• Production-level experience with distributed database optimization
• Experience with Vector Databases – pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or ChromaDB

Good to Have

• GraphQL
• Java basics / Spring Boot
• DP Studio / Backoffice
• LLM / MCP knowledge

Note: Candidates should have production-level experience with ClickHouse or a similar distributed data platform; general/basic ClickHouse exposure is not sufficient.
