Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics and business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and data integration, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all data systems.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data architecture.
• Implement data integration solutions for multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data platform and pipeline issues.
• Automate data workflows and optimize data processing performance.
• Continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand and meet data requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and best practices to team members.
• Stay up to date with emerging data engineering technologies, tools, and industry trends.
• Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to build and manage data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and schema design.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
• Experience with AWS services, including familiarity with Redshift.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark and/or Kafka.
• Experience or exposure to Vertica is a plus.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
