Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Data Replication & Integration:

Serve as the subject matter expert for high-performance data replication technologies, including Oracle GoldenGate, ensuring data consistency, synchronization, and low-latency transfer across disparate systems.

Design and implement end-to-end data integration pipelines using tools like Oracle Data Migration Service (DMS) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to support analytical and operational workloads.

Data Architecture & Cloud Engineering:

Architect and manage the storage layer using modern cloud services, specifically leveraging Azure Data Lake for large-scale, cost-effective data storage and processing.

Drive the adoption and implementation of Data Mesh principles, establishing data as a product and defining domain-oriented data architectures.

Manage and optimize high-availability database environments, including Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB).

Resiliency & Performance:

Develop and implement robust resiliency and disaster recovery strategies for all data plane components to guarantee business continuity and near-zero downtime.

Optimize data migration and transfer processes using utility tools like Oracle Data Pump, RMAN.

Engineer and maintain real-time data flows by integrating with streaming and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, OCI Streaming).

Security & Networking Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with infrastructure and networking teams to design secure and scalable dataplanes.

Specify and implement network connectivity components, including VCNs (Virtual Cloud Networks), subnets, FastConnect, and private endpoints, to ensure secure, private, and high-throughput data traffic.

Required Qualifications

Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate for heterogeneous and homogeneous data replication.

Deep practical experience implementing and maintaining Data Mesh architectural patterns.

Proven expertise in cloud data services, particularly Azure Data Lake and cloud-native data integration mechanisms.

Strong experience with Oracle ecosystem technologies, including Oracle Data Migration Service (DMS), Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB), Oracle Data Pump, and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Solid understanding of resiliency strategies (e.g., Active-Active, Active-Passive, failover mechanisms) for critical data systems.

Familiarity with real-time data ingestion and processing via streaming and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, OCI Streaming).

Experience collaborating with networking teams on complex cloud connectivity solutions (VCNs, FastConnect, private endpoints, subnets).

Preferred Qualifications (Optional Section)

Experience in a multi-cloud environment (e.g., OCI, Azure, AWS).

Certifications related to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Azure Data Engineering.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).

Qualifications

Career Level - IC4 (Architect level)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
