We're hiring for an experienced Data Pipeline Engineer with an Observability background to join our team in Riyadh. You'll work hands-on with observability and log-management technologies such as Splunk, Cribl or Elastic, building and managing data pipelines that ingest, transform and route high volumes of machine-generated data, logs and telemetry.
You'll work across client projects to onboard complex data sources, develop parsing and transformation logic, optimise data flows and help customers build reliable, scalable observability platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain solutions.
- Data Onboarding: Onboard complex data sources.
- Client Engagement: Manage client relationships and work directly with customers to understand their data and technology challenges.
- Consultation & Support: Provide pre-sales support and assist with customer training and adoption.
- Best Practices: Stay up to date on data tools best practices to ensure optimal solution delivery.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- 2+ years hands-on commercial experience with one or more of Splunk, Cribl or Elastic, ideally within an observability, log management, SIEM or data pipeline environment
- Strong experience in data onboarding, log ingestion, parsing and transformation
- Experience working with machine-generated data, logs, events, telemetry or SIEM data
- Experience writing complex queries, parsers and transformation logic
- Good understanding of data pipelines and data flow architecture
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex data ingestion and pipeline issues
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Desirable:
- Experience configuring and maintaining large-scale observability, log ingestion or telemetry pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerised solutions (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Previous experience using PMO and ITSM tooling (ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence).
