As a Data Operations Analyst within JPMorganChase, you will play a crucial role in our fund servicing operations. Your primary focus will be on executing routine transactions and collaborating with various teams. You will also apply your knowledge of fund servicing to ensure smooth operations, while also identifying opportunities for process improvements. Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for financial reporting systems and vendor tools to ensure accurate, efficient report generation.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting financial reporting.
- Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities in reporting processes.
- Maintain clear documentation of reporting procedures, controls, and technical specifications.
- Support implementations and upgrades of financial reporting systems, including testing and change management.
- Train and support team members on reporting tools, processes, and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and policies related to financial reporting.
- Assist with audit readiness and provide support to external auditors as needed.
- Execute routine fund servicing transactions with accuracy, while coordinating with operations to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Strengthen platform resilience by advancing cybersecurity practices, applying active listening to understand client needs, and contributing to continuous improvement using innovation and design thinking.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting or technical support roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with financial reporting software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Confluence-Unity, DFIN Arc).
- Basic coding knowledge to support tooling, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends/variances, and generate decision-useful insights.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in financial reporting systems.
- Clear communication of complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders; effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Baseline knowledge of fund servicing operations, including routine transaction execution and process improvement.
- Demonstrated active listening and questioning techniques with clients; experience driving continuous improvement using innovation and design thinking to enhance operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
