About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler with deep expertise in Snowflake-based Data Warehousing and a strong understanding of the retail domain, particularly in the clothing and apparel industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, refining, and optimizing data models to support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making across multiple brands.
About the Role: Sr. Data Modeler Model
Mode of Work: Hybrid (3 days WFO, 2 Days WFH).
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 4-7 years
Must Have: Data Modeler, Snowflake, Data Warehouse. with experience in retail industry (mainly into clothing)
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance data models using Snowflake for enterprise-level data warehousing solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models.
- Lead source-to-target mapping, dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and metadata management.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and alignment across systems through robust data reconciliation and validation frameworks.
- Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support ongoing report development and data validation efforts across multiple retail brands.
- Provide domain expertise in retail operations, merchandising, inventory, and sales analytics.
- Document data models, definitions, and business rules for cross-functional understanding.
- Mentor junior data modellers and analysts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Snowflake data modelling and architecture.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modelling.
- Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, dbt, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Deep domain knowledge in retail, especially clothing/apparel including product hierarchies, SKU-level data, inventory management, and sales performance.
- Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
