Data Modeler takes up end-to-end ownerships of projects and provides valuable expertise in the project. You will do this by:
Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
Evaluating existing data systems.
Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
Implementing business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational, dimensional, and NoSQL) and data tools (reporting, visualization, analytics, and machine learning).
Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
Skills/Experience
Technologies
10-12 Years of Data Modelling experience both in OLTP and primarily on OLAP applications design.
Working experience with Erwin, Toad or ER/Studio.
Deal with other stakeholders/ end users in the software development lifecycle - PMs, BAs, testing etc.
Working within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team.
Data modeling and data architecture design.
Hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling.
Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
Experience with team management.
Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
Should be able to write low-level technical design documents with impacted areas.
