Contract Data Modeler (INDIA) Fully Remote 6 Months
We're looking for a senior Data Modeler to join a fast-moving data team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong modelling fundamentals with a real understanding of business metrics, not just building dashboards, but shaping the data behind them.
What you'll do
- Design and develop dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting
- Work within a Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers)
- Translate business requirements into scalable data structures
- Define and validate business metrics with stakeholders
- Support dashboarding and analytics use cases (while staying focused on the underlying data logic)
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy and usability
What we're looking for
- Senior-level experience in data modelling for analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience working with Medallion/Lakehouse architectures
- Ability to work closely with the business to define and structure KPIs
- Comfortable supporting BI/reporting, but not purely a dashboard developer
- Oracle ERP background highly preferred
